Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice

TNA-Virtual Nurses Day on the Hill

Posted 5 months ago by Mary Jo Blanton

Hello all, as most of you are aware, our Full Practice Authority Bill is back on the table for the current legislative session.  Please see the links below for information on the VIRTUAL Nurses Day on the Hill (March 2nd)  and the TNA Advocacy Workshop.

The workshop is new this year and will offer valuable information on our role as advocates for our profession. The workshop would be an excellent opportunity for any APRN planning to participate!  Feel free to copy and share the registration link below – it will take them to a one stop shop for registration for all events.

As present, the TNA has highlighted the following talking points for our Virtual Day on the Hill:

We are likely to be advocating for patient protection, specifically in regard to administering IV fluids, vaccinations, and medication. We also expect to be advocating for more dedicated funding to provide for school nurses.

Links on the status of the 2021 FPA Bill, which makes changes to the licensing of and prescribing authority for APRNS are also provided.
